Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee

Before we headed out West, we went East....

to get some well deserved "relaxation" time and visit family, more specifically, Lona and Andrew in Memphis,Tennessee. We got spoiled during our stay with some of Lona's delicious home cooking (she's an AWESOME cook, hostess, wife and sister... and of course, Andrew is pretty Awesome too!) and some good Southern BBQ, Fried Chicken, and in my opinion, the World's Best shaved ice.

We also took two days to visit Nashville, TN where we got to go see a show at the Grand Ole Opry, walk around the Gaylord Opryland Resort, and visit The Parthenon at Centennial Park, a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, which was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.

Thank you Lona and Andy for always making our visits enjoyable. We love you both and are excited for your little new adventure to begin as well!

"Farewell Oklahoma, Hello World!"

In 2009, we had the opportunity to come back to the state of Oklahoma where we caught up with family and good ole friends as well as welcomed new family members and friends into our lives. This is also the place where we became first time homebuyers and sellers, College and Vo-tech graduates, and truly discovered that we are only limited by our own imaginations.

Now that the door to our imaginations have been cracked wide open, we can see all the new dreams, adventures and possibilities that are awaiting us all. We are sad to leave behind our family and friends but we are most definitely EXCITED, anxious, nervous and just a little scared for this new adventure.

Thank you to all our family and friends who have been our BIGGEST supporters and reality checks in this process. We love you all so very much and look forward to sharing this new adventure with you.

We are most humbled for the opportunities, experiences and lessons learned during our time here and with that we say, "Farewell Oklahoma, Hello World!"

We are Family
We are so grateful to have been able to live so close to some of our Family in Oklahoma for the last four years and watch nieces and nephews grow up. We love you all and will miss you all very much.

Though we are not related to the Wilmotts/Beckers by blood, we ARE Family! Thank you so much for adopting us into your family all those years ago. We've been so blessed to be a part of your lives and watch your families grow. We feel even more so blessed and humbled to be able to meet and welcome James' name sake, Parker Thomas Wilmott, into this world before we left Oklahoma to start this new journey. Words cannot express how very much we love and appreciate each and everyone one of you. We look forward to seeing you again on the other side of the world!

Humble beginnings...

Even the tallest tree starts from a small seed.

Hyperion – 115.61 m
Type: Sequoia sempervirens
Location: Redwoods, Redwood Creek inflow, California, USA
Diameter: 4.84 m
Hyperion was discovered on August 25, 2006 by naturalists Chris Atkins and Michael Taylor. The tree was measured, his height was 115.55 meters. The tree was found in a remote area of the National and State Parks Redwood acquired in 1978. The exact location of the tree was not open to the public, because of the fear that the tourist traffic can disrupt the ecosystem of the life of a tree. The area tree is estimated at 502 square meters, and its approximate age of 700 – 800 years.
