Discovered his tongue and likes to stick it out.
Been to 2 movies and slept through both.
Happy as always!

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas from Our Family to Yours
We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that this holiday season brings you all that your hearts dream, hope, and desire. We were blessed with the BEST Christmas gift one could ever hope for. May God Bless you all this Holiday and in the New Year to come.

Welcome to the World Baby Jakob

This year has truly blessed us beyond measure as we welcome to the world our long awaited miracle, Baby Jakob.

We planned to have a natural labor and delivery with Jakob, but things did not go as planned. Jakob had plans of his own. He decided that he wanted to stay in mommy's tummy just a bit longer and grow just a bit bigger. Finally, at 41 weeks + 4 days, he decided it was time to make his appearance. After 12 hours of labor at Sagua Managua Birthing Center, no progress was being made; baby's heart rate was dipping and with meconium present in the amniotic fluid we were forced to make the decision to be transferred to Guam Memorial Hospital to deliver Jakob via C-Section. Despite the complications and finding out he was wrapped up in his umbilical cord, we delivered a healthy, strong, beautiful, perfect baby boy.

From California to Maui....

Sorry, updating the blog is long over due. However, it's been a little...a lot...chaotic (the good kind) with this journey and all the transitions we have to deal with so far, but it's also been a huge blessing for us. We made AMAZING new friends while at the workshop in Hesperia and got to see family all along the west coast as we made our way up to Seattle, WA to fly out for our year long adventure in Maui.

We were blessed to meet the newest addition to our family and got to hang out with most of the nieces and nephews while visiting family in Hanford, Antelope, and San Francisco, California. Once we were done in CA, it was another 8 hours drive north to Eugene, Oregon to visit the lovely grandparents for a day. Then off to Seattle, WA where we went to stay and visit with May & Luke before we flew out to Maui. It was great seeing family but also sad at the same time since the short amount of time we did have to visit flew by too fast.

We finally flew out to Maui, Hawaii early Wednesday morning on October 30th. Luckily enough, our car was already there waiting for us to pick up the following day as we were expected at Hawaii Sustainable Farms to begin our work exchange week prior to James starting at the Surfing Goat Dairy. We got to work quickly that first week (and have been quite busy since then) but were able to take a little time to enjoy a secluded tidal pool along the West shores of Maui (and many more beaches since then).

Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee

Before we headed out West, we went East....

to get some well deserved "relaxation" time and visit family, more specifically, Lona and Andrew in Memphis,Tennessee. We got spoiled during our stay with some of Lona's delicious home cooking (she's an AWESOME cook, hostess, wife and sister... and of course, Andrew is pretty Awesome too!) and some good Southern BBQ, Fried Chicken, and in my opinion, the World's Best shaved ice.

We also took two days to visit Nashville, TN where we got to go see a show at the Grand Ole Opry, walk around the Gaylord Opryland Resort, and visit The Parthenon at Centennial Park, a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, which was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.

Thank you Lona and Andy for always making our visits enjoyable. We love you both and are excited for your little new adventure to begin as well!

"Farewell Oklahoma, Hello World!"

In 2009, we had the opportunity to come back to the state of Oklahoma where we caught up with family and good ole friends as well as welcomed new family members and friends into our lives. This is also the place where we became first time homebuyers and sellers, College and Vo-tech graduates, and truly discovered that we are only limited by our own imaginations.

Now that the door to our imaginations have been cracked wide open, we can see all the new dreams, adventures and possibilities that are awaiting us all. We are sad to leave behind our family and friends but we are most definitely EXCITED, anxious, nervous and just a little scared for this new adventure.

Thank you to all our family and friends who have been our BIGGEST supporters and reality checks in this process. We love you all so very much and look forward to sharing this new adventure with you.

We are most humbled for the opportunities, experiences and lessons learned during our time here and with that we say, "Farewell Oklahoma, Hello World!"

We are Family
We are so grateful to have been able to live so close to some of our Family in Oklahoma for the last four years and watch nieces and nephews grow up. We love you all and will miss you all very much.

Though we are not related to the Wilmotts/Beckers by blood, we ARE Family! Thank you so much for adopting us into your family all those years ago. We've been so blessed to be a part of your lives and watch your families grow. We feel even more so blessed and humbled to be able to meet and welcome James' name sake, Parker Thomas Wilmott, into this world before we left Oklahoma to start this new journey. Words cannot express how very much we love and appreciate each and everyone one of you. We look forward to seeing you again on the other side of the world!
