Hello California!

After about 1,500 miles of driving, we finally made it to Fallbrook, California the Friday evening of September 27, 2013, where we stayed with family before we headed out to Hesperia, CA for the Cal-Earth and Midwest Permaculture certification workshop.

We are not big fans of the desert, but we have to admit that there are definitely some beautiful views driving into California. We took route US-62 through Twenty-nine Palms, CA which had some amazing views of the desert. It kind of makes you feel small when looking at the vast expanse of the desert but can also give you a sense of awe and wonder all at the same time.
